DICT XI IT officer Engr. Albert Gabriel

THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) XI will host its first Digital Careers and ITBPM Expo 2024 on Oct. 25 at the Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MCM).

Around 500 participants comprising students of junior and senior high, college, new graduates, young professionals, and job seekers will be invited to the expo to expose them to opportunities that the IT-BPM industry has to offer.

“We will be encouraging na pag graduate nila [students] there’s a lot of work that’s waiting for them. The only thing lang is that we need to fill the gap between the industry [IT-BPM] and the academe,” DICT XI IT officer Engr. Albert Gabriel said during the Kapehan sa Dabaw.

Gabriel highlighted that DICT is now supporting the IT-BPM industry to sustain it and provide opportunities for the people, especially in Davao City.
