A TRUCK loaded with soil overturned after a bridge collapsed in Km. 8, Iñigo Village, Matina Pangi, around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The incident involved a white Howo truck with plate number LAH1860.
The driver, who remains unidentified, fled the scene after the accident.
According to the investigation, the truck was traveling along Matina Pangi Road from Carlos P. Garcia Highway toward Barangay Matina Pangi.
Upon reaching Iñigo Village, the driver made a left turn onto the metal/steel bridge, which then collapsed, causing the truck to fall into the river below.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have not released an estimate of the property damage.
