14 purveyors to join the Davao Streetfood Collective

AROUND 10 to 14 purveyors will attend the Davao Streetfood Collective: Davao’s Greatest Hits to give tribute to Davao City’s beloved homegrown restaurants at SM Lanang from Oct. 25 to 27.

Local restaurants such as Cecil’s, Luz Kinilaw Place Davao, Elen’s Kainan, Kuilan’s Foodhaus, and other known restaurants in Davao City that shaped the city’s flavors will be invited for this year’s Davao Streetfood Collective.

“This year naman is parang a collection of restaurants at least mga 20 years na diri sa Davao nag exist,” Davao Food and Wine 2024 organizer Chef Choy Llido said during the PEP Talks.

Llido added that there will be national and international chefs who will participate during the Davao Streetfood Collective.

He shared that they have difficulties in inviting some of the old local restaurants as some don’t have plans for expansions but have sustainable operations.

Davao Streetfood Collective is the main event of the Davao Food and Wine Festival 2024, which includes 18 events in different venues in the month of October.

Other upcoming events before the festival ends include Flames and Beats: A Night of BBQ, Beats & Brews on Oct. 13 at Park Inn by Radisson Davao, and the Sip, Slice and Spin Bash on Oct. 19 at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.
