AUTHORITIES raided a suspected drug den in Barangay Talomo Proper on Thursday afternoon, July 25, resulting in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of approximately P374,000 worth of shabu.
The joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI’s Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) targeted Divine Grace Aparis Bernadas, a 41-year-old, overseas Filipino worker.
Bernadas was arrested after allegedly selling one gram of shabu to an undercover PDEA agent for P6,000, according to agency spokesperson Nephi Noli Dimaandal.
He said two other individuals, Erwin Rey Tianero, identified as a drug den employee, and Manuel Navarro, a visitor, were also arrested during the raid.
Seized from the premises were 55 grams of suspected shabu in various packaging, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
All three suspects are facing a charge of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA XI regional director Naravy D. Duquiatan highlighted the agency’s commitment to combating the illegal drug trade in Davao City.
