THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) brought joy to approximately 200 pupils of Waan Elementary School in Barangay Waan, Mandug, Buhangin District on Thursday, July 25, as part of the Balik Eskwela program.
The DCPO partnered with the Davao City Lakans from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Philippine National Police (PNP), for the activity.
Led by DCPO director Colonel Hansel M. Marantan, the law enforcement agencies distributed full packages of school supplies, loot bags, and toys to eager students.
The police mascot, Sgt. Kalasag, and a magician also treated the children to a dance performance and a captivating magic show.
Marantan said the Balik-Eskwela gift-giving activity sought to provide essential educational materials and create a fun-filled atmosphere for the children as they return to school. The event highlighted the collaborative effort of the DCPO and its partner agencies in fostering community engagement and supporting the educational needs of young students in the city.
