POLICE Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III said the manhunt for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four other co-accused is ongoing.
“This is continuing, as I said the first time. There is a national task force, you know, that’s why the situation is complex. And that’s also the primary mission given to me here,” Torre said.
“So our national agencies and national units are involved. There is a national headquarters overseeing the operations regarding the search for Pastor Quiboloy,” he added.
“It’s just a simple implementation of a warrant of arrest. The court has spoken, and we need to follow it,” he further said.
In a recent press briefing at Camp Crame following the arrest of Paulene Canada on July 11 at Emily Homes Subdivision, the co-accused of Pastor Quiboloy in the child trafficking case, Brig Gen Nicolas, the Police Regional Office XI director, said they are actively pursuing leads and working tirelessly to apprehend the remaining individuals in hiding.
He expressed confidence that the remaining wanted individuals would be apprehended soon, stating, “It won’t be long now.”
Meanwhile, Torre stated that there is a commitment order for the detention of Paulene Canada, the co-accused of Pastor Quiboloy.
“There is a commitment order for detaining Paulene Canada,” Torre said. “The last time I saw her, she was at the CIDG (Criminal Investigation and Detection Group).”
He added, “The warrant of arrest was executed by a task force, a collaboration of multiple units. Because the arrest occurred in Region XI and involved other parts of the task force, we handed her over to the CIDG, who were then responsible for returning her warrant and presenting her to the court.”
