THE SACRAMENTO Kings have landed DeMar DeRozan via a sign-and-trade deal with the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs.

The deal will send DeRozan to the Kings, Harrison Barnes to the Spurs, and Chris Duarte, two second-round picks, and cash to the Bulls.

The Kings met with DeRozan over the weekend to negotiate the 6-time all-star’s transfer. Before the agreement, DeRozan was linked to the Los Angeles Lakers as fans anticipated his homecoming.

The California native is one of the most followed names in the current free agency market, along with Paul George and Klay Thompson, who were also acquired via sign-and-trade deals.

DeRozan was picked 9th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 NBA Draft.  He spent his first 9 seasons with the Toronto Raptors before being traded to the Spurs in 2018 and then to the Bulls in 2021.
