THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) said it has not recorded any untoward incidents during the celebration of the recently concluded Duaw Davao Festival.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the DCPO, said the celebration was generally peaceful based on their safety and security assessment.
On June 21, the City Tourism Operations Office (CTTO) kicked off the Duaw Davao Festival with several activities including the Duaw Davao Music Festival, and Pride Sports Fest.
This was followed by the coronation of the Reyna ng Davao on June 22, and the Pride Parade and Hugyaw Davao on June 23.
On June 27–30, the CTOO mounted an art exhibit and food truck bazaar where various art pieces created by Dabawenyo artists were showcased, as well as delicacies served by different food trucks.
On June 29, the CTOO held the Paghiusayaw in time for the celebration of the Fiesta sa San Pedro, and on June 30 marked the final round for the Inter-Barangay MLBB tournament.
The DCPO extended gratitude to other safety and security clusters for their cooperation and hard work in ensuring the safety and security of every Dabawenyo.
The DCPO also thanked Dabawenyos, tourists, and guests who took part in the celebration of the festival for obeying safety and security protocols.
