THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) scored two wins in its anti-illegal drug campaign following the arrest of a high-value individual and another drug suspect in separate operations.
In the first operation conducted at 11:03 p.m. on May 9, the Toril police apprehended alias Virzal, 40, a tricycle driver residing in Purok Kanipaan, Barangay Daliao.
Identified as a top 1 high-value target, Virzal was caught in a buy-bust operation at Purok Camarin, Barangay Lizada, Toril district.
Police seized shabu with an estimated street value of P81,600 from his possession.
In a separate operation conducted in the early hours of May 10, the Buhangin police arrested a street-level drug suspect near Fusion Gas Station along Cabantian Road.
Authorities confiscated shabu worth P23,520 during the operation.
Both suspects will face a charge of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
