THE CITY Economic Enterprise (CEE) said they continuously offered affordable cremation to Davaoeños looking for affordable burial services.
CEE head Maximo Macalipes Jr. said their services are “more economical compared to private burial services, offering a facility in Wireless Cemetery.”
The pricing structure for cremation services is as follows: P20,000 for adults, P15,000 for youth aged 12 to 18, P10,000 for children aged 12 and below, P10,000 for exhumed bones, P7,500 for infants, and P100 for cremation permit.
Macalipes said patronizing these services will help boost the city’s economic enterprise.
“Kaning atoang mga program nga gina-generate, mubalik raman gihapon sa mga programa ug serbisyo ni Mayor Baste, ug sa tanang Dabawenyo (The revenues we generate will go to the programs and services of Mayor Baste to benefit all Davaoeños),” he said.
He stressed that this service is available for those who want non-traditional burial methods.
The crematorium at Wireless Cemetery generated an income of P1,830,000 from cremating 94 cadavers in 2023. Macalipes added they already set a goal to reach an income of around P2 million for 2024.
He also mentioned the city’s plan to open the Tagakpan Public Cemetery, which will be established in the first quarter of this year.
“Mas lapad ang sa Tagakpan kay naa ta’y Muslim ug naa pud ta’y Christian cemetery didto (Tagakpan is more extensive since we have Muslim and Christian cemeteries there),” he said.
