AUTHORITIES seized more than P300,000 worth of shabu from a high-value target while passing through the checkpoint in Barangay Lasang, Bunawan District around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, identified him as Jeffrey Trangia, 39, a resident of Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect was riding his motorcycle and was flagged at the inspection area for a routine check. However, PCpl Rodel B Ramos reportedly found illegal drugs in his possession.
The police confiscated 23 grams of shabu worth P368,000, according to the report.
The suspect is under the custody of the Bunawan Police Station facing a case for violating Sec. 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
