A FEMALE call center agent was killed after being run over by a bus along MacArthur Highway fronting Shell Gasoline Station, Ulas, Barangay Talomo, around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Police have yet to identify the victim while the bus driver was identified as Ronie Pagatpatan, 32, a resident of Makilala, North Cotabato.
Initial Investigation showed that the Mindanao Star-Hino Bus bearing plate no. DAZ5757 was occupying the innermost lane coming from south direction heading toward Bangkal. The driver hit the victim who was then on the center of the road while preparing the cross the highway.
She was declared dead on site by the responding paramedics.
Major Rosario Aguilar, commander of Talomo Police Station, said the driver is detained and will be held responsible for the victim’s death. They are also gathering CCTV videos to review the incident.
“Rest assured that any update of this case will be reported as soon as obtained,” Aguilar said.
