SIXTY-TWO fire victims received financial assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office at Matina Aplaya Gym on May 22.
The CSWD distributed cash aid to residents of Dumalag 1, Matina Aplaya, affected by the April 21 fire incident.
Out of the validated beneficiaries, 31 received P20,000 each, 14 renters and 15 sharers received P10,000 each, and two boarders received 5,000 each.
The CSWDO earlier distributed food and non-food assistance.
The city government provided hygiene kits, a mobile kitchen, and modular tents immediately after the fire. The financial assistance would be the last tranche of aid as residents are already encouraged to use it to build new houses or find another area to live in.
