THE JOBS fair at SM City in Ecoland will also include the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) para sa Manggagawa program as part of the Labor Day celebration
The Kadiwa program is a pet project of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. seeking to make affordable fruits, vegetables, and other products accessible to Filipinos. It also helps farmers bypass the middlemen to reach their target market.
According to Rodrigo O. Roble, Jr, Department of Labor and Employment XI regional livelihood focal person, their assisted associations will display their products at SM Ecoland.
However, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Trade and Industry also have respective assisted farmers who will display their goods at Rizal Park and in ALU Hotel along Roxas Boulevard on May 1 and 2.
Roble encouraged the public to support the micro-entrepreneurs. “The more daghan ang mupalit sailaha, the more sila maka-income. Ang tendency, mabuhi ang ekonomiya satoang mga micro-enterprise (The more buyers they will have, the more income they will earn. The tendency is the economy of micro-enterprise will thrive).”
