THE City Transport and Traffic Management Office announced on Tuesday that the routes being served by the peak hours augmentation bus service include the C.P Garcia Highway.
Dionisio Abude, head of the office, said the route is being served by the Davao Metro Shuttle Corp. which has assigned two units. The same bus company has also served the Calinan and Catalunan Grande routes.
The Land Transportation Franchising and REgulatory Board also approved the application of Golden Valley Bus Line and Land Car Inc. to service the Lasang and Toril routes, respectively.
“Wala pay update ang LTFRB kung naa na ba’y nahatagan og special permit para sa Buhangin ug Cabantian,” Abude said as the office has been doing its best to address the problem in the lack of public transportation and traffic congestion.
Meanwhile, aside from the five routes already approved, the LTFRB also granted a special permit for Dumper Partylist’s Libreng Sakay for Students for the Toril-Roxas, Calinan-Roxas, and Panacan-Roxas routes.
The Libreng Sakay runs from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. until 8 in the evening.
The program will run until September 22. Each student will just need to present an ID or enrolment form.
The LTFRB has confirmed to TIMES that there have been a reduction in the number of passenger jeepneys and taxicabs compared with the previous years.
