No critical, high risk barangays in the city so far, bares city gov’t

DESPITE the intensified gathering of people in workplaces and other places, the city has remained a low-risk places in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on the barangay classification matrix, between April 4 and 9, no barangay was placed under critical or high risk, although six barangays were placed on a low risk classification as these were 5-A, Bago Aplaya, Buhangin Proper, Lizada (Toril), Matina Aplaya, and Mintal.

The city government has urged the residents to continue following the minimum health standards and get vaccinated.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases extended the Alert Level 1 classification until the middle of the month.

However, the city government reiterated that wearing of facemasks in public places is still in place except when eating, participating in sports and similar events where the venues have adequate ventilation.

Under the city ordinance, those found removing their facemasks are fined of P500 for first offense.
