Be responsible: Sara to residents

MAYOR Sara Duterte has called on the people to do their part in observing health protocols as they share the burden of stopping the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) following the easing of restrictions that included the listing of the curfew and the use of the food and medicine (FM) pass.

“Ang gusto nato masabtan sa mga tao ang ilahang responsibilities. Because we are all in the same boat, Davao boat. Everyone has a task to do. Otherwise kung dili ninyo buhaton ang inyuhang task, malunod ang atoang barko,” she said.

The mayor urged the residents to imagine themselves carrying the healthcare workers on their shoulders.

“Kung naay isa nga dili mokarga sa ilaha (healthworkers), mayabo, motakilid ang atoang barko What do we mean when we say carrying them on our shoulders – these are, stay at home, wearing masks in public places, physical distancing, and handwashing,” she added.

The mayor expressed her concern that the people would get too excited and forget about the health protocols especially the holiday season is approaching.

She urged them to adhere to the minimum health measures in their daily activities as these are the key strategies in protecting themselves and their families from the virus.

“Our next steps will depend on how successful we are in the month of August on how we comply our health protocols,” she said.

“Kung mutaas ang cases that means dunay low compliance sa mga tao ug establishments. Kung naay low compliance mubalik ta sa GCQ and much worst sa ECQ,” she added.

“In terms of food kung mabalik ta GCQ or ECQ, mangita ug pamaagi ang city gov’t for food relief,” she further said
