KASADYA sa Kulturang Kakaw aims to promote Davao City’s cacao culture, wellness, and tourism as part of its month-long celebration in June, bringing in culinary competitions, art events, and farm-to-bar tours for fellow Davaoenos and visitors.
Toto Muyco, chair of the Davao Region Cacao Industry Development Council, said the city government must be more active in promoting its famous commodities, particularly cacao, as it is the city’s globally recognized commodity.

Muyo hoped that the promotion of commodities would become a regular offering for tourists visiting Davao City, not just in the monthly celebration, and to push emphasis on agri tourism in Davao Region.
“I think that this is the right time for the different agricultural commodities to promote themselves and to offer themselves to the tourists,” Muto said during the Kapehan sa Dabaw on June 2.
The festival highlights the “Tskololate Krawl,” one of Duaw Dabaw 2025’s new events that runs from June 5 to 29, is a curated tasting experience across local cafes and chocolate shops where participants can explore diverse expressions and deep appreciation for tableya and cacao.
This also includes “Kakaw Talks,” a series of insightful discussions in bridging heritage, health, and industry development that will be held in a 3-day event at Ayala Malls Abreeza, along with other cacao events.
Other activities lined up for June are Hulagway sa Kakaw, Kakaw Likha, Kakaw Kulinarya Serye, Kakaw Farmers’ Fiesta, and many more.
