VP Sara visits Toril barangay

VICE PRESIDENT Sara Duterte conducted a visit to Sitio Cavarizan, Barangay Sibulan, Toril District, on Holy Thursday, April 17, 2025, bringing both environmental awareness and a message of reassurance concerning former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Sibulan Barangay Captain Cristine Rose Abalayan, village officials, and residents thanked the vice president for her presence.

During an interview with 93.9 IFM News Davao, Duterte addressed concerns about her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently in The Hague, Netherlands. “My father is doing ‘OK,'” she assured, dismissing any worries about his health.

She also extended her gratitude to Davaoeños for their continued support for her family, especially her father.

Duterte’s itinerary included a stop at Tomari Falls, a local tourist attraction.

Duterte actively participated in a clean-up drive, collecting plastic, cellophane, and plastic bottles, a testament to her commitment to environmental preservation.

She also took note of the area’s infrastructure, observing sections of broken concrete on the roads.

“I am truly grateful for the warm welcome extended to me by the people of Sibulan,” the vice president stated.

The Bagobo Tagabawa tribe, a major part of the community, also expressed their deep appreciation for the visit, highlighting its cultural significance.
