Davao City – In line with the upcoming 126th Philippine Army Founding Anniversary on
March 22, 2023, personnel of the 11th RegionalCommunityDefenseGroup,Reserve
Command, Philippine Army and its five (5) Community Defense Centers together with
reservist personnel from different Ready Reserve Units and ROTC Cadets led by COL
JOSUE M CABERTO MI (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 11RCDG, RESCOM, PA
spearheaded the series of Tree Planting Activities in the different areas of Davao
Region from March 05 to 07, 2023.
Likewise, personnel from 89IB, 534ECBn, 3CMO Coy, CENRO, LGUs, Brgy officials
and functionaries, and different schools and universities also participated in the said
activities as major partners and stakeholders. A total of 1, 370 assorted fruit bearing and
non-fruit bearing trees were planted throughout the activities. The LGUs through their
CENROs and Agriculture Offices provided the planting materials through the
coordination and collaboration of 11RCDG and the CDCs.
The said activity was part of the initiatives of the Philippine Army in support to “Plant,
Plant, Plant” Program of the government and part of the month-long celebration through
the conduct of Nationwide Growing/Raising of One Million Fruit Bearing Trees.
On the other hand, COL CABERTO lauded the efforts of his personnel, reservists, and
other units and stakeholders for their active support and participation that led to the
successful conduct of activities. This is one way of caring our environment by planting
more trees for our future generations, prevent soil erosion, and contribute to
