MORE THAN P400,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in three separate operations from May 23 to May 24, 2025, arresting six drug personalities as a result.
Acting director Col Hansel Marantan attributed the recent successes to the relentless efforts of the police and the crucial support of an active community consistently providing vital information.
The anti-illegal drug operations were carried out by various police stations across the city:
- PS1-Sta. Ana confiscated shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 7,480.00.
- PS5-Buhangin seized shabu with an estimated SDP of Php 151,436.00.
- PS17-Baliok recovered shabu with an estimated SDP of Php 279,888.00.
The illegal drugs seized totaled P433,804.
Marantan thanked barangay officials, the community, and the city government for their sustained support in the anti-drug campaign.
Recognizing illegal drugs as a significant contributor to crime, Marantan reiterated his resolve to continue operations to provide a safe environment for Davaoeños.
