THE 4TH Infantry (Diamond) Division has vowed to strengthen its ties with Indigenous People (IP) communities within its area of responsibility in Northern Mindanao.
This commitment followed a courtesy call to the regional director of the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) in Region X on Friday, April 11, 2025.
Colonel Rey P. Pasco, the 4ID’s assistant division commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, met with NCIP X director Fundador Binahon on Tiano del Pilar Street, Cagayan de Oro City.
The visit underscored the 4ID’s commitment to working collaboratively with IP leaders and their communities to promote peace, cultural sensitivity, and community resilience, particularly in vulnerable areas of the region.
Pasco stated that this collaboration highlights the ongoing efforts of the Army and its partner agencies to build partnerships rooted in trust, inclusivity, and national unity.
