AROUND 4,000 participants will attend the 2024 Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses from July 5 to 7 at SM Lanang SMX Convention Center.
In a press conference at the SMX meeting room on July 4, Jehovah’s Witnesses Public Information Department director James Morales said the convention aims for an immersive experience in learning the bible in different variations and ways of presentations.
Morales highlighted this year’s convention will feature modern visual presentations on movies and video clips that will stir the curiosity of the younger generation interested in religious topics.
“I think that’s one thing that would attract the younger audience kay makita nila sa unsang paagi kanang sugod atong si Jesus gipang anak, asa ba siya na gikan, unsa tong mga former years ni Jesus Christ,” he said.
He added they have 186 conventions in the Philippines starting last May 24 until the last week of August. According to their data, there are around 260,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in the country.
“We could say safely that there’s a number of non-witness attendees nga naga tambong sa among mga conventions,” he said.
The 2024 Regional Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses will also be free for the public and walk-ins are encouraged to participate.
