30,000 security officers fan out to secure Holy Week

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) will deploy nearly 30,000 law enforcers, auxiliaries, and force multipliers throughout the Holy Week.

In an interview on Friday, March 15, 2024, Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said a total of 27,997 warm bodies will secure churches, terminal hubs, seaports, airports, major thoroughfares, mosques, malls, public markets, parks, grottos, and other places of worship.

They are also directed to watch over families and tourists going to beaches and inland resorts.

 “These dedicated men and women will ensure the safety and security of everyone from March 22nd to March 31st, 2024,” she said.

However, she emphasized that the cooperation and assistance of each Davaoeño are vital to ensure a safe and secure Holy Week.
