27 surrender to the 56th Infantry Battalion, set for reintegration program

THE 56TH Infantry (Tatag) Battalion facilitated the surrender of 27 former rebels, who were presented to Davao del Norte Governor Edwin I. Jubahib, for proper identification and assistance.

The surrenderees, now under the protection of the provincial government, will receive support from various government agencies to help them reintegrate into society and build a new life.

Jubahib commited to ensuring the welfare of the former rebels, emphasizing the importance of providing them with immediate and long-term support.

The provincial government, together with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and other agencies, will coordinate efforts to offer shelter, food, medical care, and psychosocial services based on the individuals’ needs.

With the support of these agencies, the 27 individuals will be given the resources necessary for their rehabilitation and reintegration.

The collaboration between the military and government agencies marks the beginning of a fresh start for these former rebels, providing them with the opportunity to heal and lead productive and fulfilling lives.
