OUR country, the Philippines lies in the Ring of Fire. We are often visited by typhoons and earthquakes which cause devastation, leaving people homeless, sick, and hungry.
Born in Davao City, Voniele Layese grew up in a lower-middle-class family. He had two elder sisters and an older brother, making him the youngest child.
He remembers growing up as being a very charitable young boy, giving whatever he could afford to beggars he met along the streets. Because he could not afford to be giving much he would pray hard to God to send him funds so he could share more.
To finance his schooling, Voniele worked as a security guard. He enrolled at the Holy Cross of Davao College taking u Bachelor of Arts, Major in Mass Communication.
While studying, he began working at the Holy Cross of Davao College. He also joined the events industry as a clown host with Bonjee Entertainment, owned by James Infiesto and Skye Dionela.
Voniele did everything to augment his meager income and applied as a Call Center Agent at Sutherland, where he was a top performer.
His handwork and prayers to earn more were answered at last after having saved enough to invest in his own business. By this time Voniele met his business partner, Eric Dive Lao and they started planning for events. On February 20, 2016, Vonric Event Services Davao made its debut in the entertainment industry.
When Typhoon Auring hit Tandag City in February 2021 Vonric’s team was there to distribute 400 bags of relief goods consisting of rice, noodles, canned goods, popcorn and biscuits.
He took several photos of the destruction wrought by the storm and felt he had to share more.
Voniele acknowledges the support of Tandag City Mayor Roxanne Pimentel and his newfound friend Rowell Divina, a well-known vlogger.
This recent calamity was not the only relief mission for Voniele’s Team. Places they had to go to distribute relief include Makilala, Bukidnon, Digos, New Israel and Balabag.
Because of his charitable deeds and hard work, Voniele is forever thankful for answered prayers, having received enough from his business to be able to give to the needy and fulfill his dream to share his blessings.
