Davao City – Lanang Golf and Country Club slid to third place after two days of standing tall at the Sportswriters division team standings while Rancho Palos Verdes remained at ninth spot in the Aviators class, Friday in the ongoing Philippine Airlines (PAL) Seniors Interclub in Cebu City.
Lanang Golf had 108 points yesterday from its previous 111-110 for a 329-point total but could not stand a surging Baguio Country Club charge which had 112 points to add on its 106-119 for a 337 total and took the top spot played at the Alta Vista Country Club layout.
Lanang which had Paul Anthony Dacudao (34), Roberto Plana (46) and Robert Te (28) scoring on Friday also fell to South Bay Golf which took second place coming strong on its third day 116 for a 330-point count adding on its previous 104-110.
Davao City Golf dropped to fourth spot from second place with yesterday’s 106 from 108-112 for a total of 325. Isagani Gascal and Jun Narciso had similar 36 points while Elmer Basila had 34.
Rancho Palos Verdes remained at 10th spot in the Aviators division with 329 points from rounds of 110, 106 and113. Its 113-point total yesterday came from Randy Cadiogan (40), Jun Serado (38) and Noe Taojo (35).
Team Coral Ocean Point (123-119-119) and host Alta Vista Golf (114-119-128) are tied for the lead in the Aviators division with similar 361 points followed by Zamboanga Country Club (109-127-121-357) and Fil Am Hawaii (93-130-125-348).
Apo Golf and Country Club is at 13th place in the Founders Class played at the Club Filipino Country Club with 219 points from rounds of 112 and 107 as of presstime.
