THE DAVAO City Tourism Operations Office expects 200,000 tourists for the upcoming Duaw Davao 2024.
According to CTOO tourism relations officer Joanna Ricci Alajar, they are targeting around 130,000 to 200,000 visitors, both local and international, for the Duaw Davao 2024, which will officially kick off on June 21.
The CTOO hopes that the Duaw Davao 2024 will promote Davao City as a tourist spot for summer, and generate good economic returns.
“Kani siya na event po, gina awhag namo tanan na mu bisita diri sa Davao. Mahimo tang main attraction during June,” she said,
Alajar added they have coordinated with the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) and City Environment and Natural Resources Office for the safety, security, and waste management for the eight events of Duaw Davao.
Last May 29, CTTMO chief Dionisio Abude announced the road closures for the Duaw Davao 2024 events on June 23 and June 29.
She also said they are conducting site visitations and identified 20 potential tourism spots in Davao City, which they hope to feature in future events.
“We are looking forward to have these sites open by Kadayawan or before Kadayawan wherein we could be able to promote more of those sites and then by next year’s Duaw Davao it would be one of our highlights na din po,” she said.
