AUTHORITIES nabbed regional and city-level targets in a buy-bust operation conducted on Sunday, Jan. 14, at Purok 23, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tugbok.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), identified them as only alias Madz and alias Mario.
Madz, female, 30, a resident of the area, was a Top 6 regional level target, while Mario, 27, an aircon technician, and a resident of Barangay Lapu-Lapu, Agdao, was a top city-level target.
The team successfully seized 55.17 grams of suspected shabu valued at more or less P375,156.
Tuazon said the apprehension was due to the community’s active support for the police force in Davao City, which is dedicated to the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Therefore, the community’s assistance is crucial in winning this battle for the safety of our community,” she added.
The suspects are now under the custody of Tugbok Police Station for the filing of a charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
