15 fall in 24-hour crackdown on illegal drugs

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 15 suspects and seized over P40,000 worth of shabu in a series of operations conducted between July 5 and July 6.

Led by officer-in-charge Colonel Rolindo M. Suguilon, the DCPO conducted nine anti-drug operations across various police stations in Sta. Ana, Talomo, Sasa, Bunawan, Mandug, Ecoland, and Bajada.

The confiscated shabu had an estimated street value price of P40,052.00, according to a police report.

The DCPO chief credits the success of the operations to the cooperation of barangay officials and the community, who provided valuable information on individuals involved in the drug trade.

“Illegal drugs are a major contributor to crime in our city,” said Suguilon. “We will not rest until Davao City is a safer place for all Davaoeños.”

The DCPO vowed to continue its relentless efforts in combating illegal substances, working hand-in-hand with the community and the local government to achieve a drug-free city.
