POLICE arrested the suspect who allegedly killed a 14-year-old female student whose body was found on a grassy lot in Purok 3, Cogon, Barangay Bato, Toril District around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of Davao City Police Office (DCPO), did not name the suspect but said the victim was a resident of Dumoy Proper, Barangay Dumoy, Talomo District.
According to the report, the sister sought assistance from the Toril Police Station after receiving a distress call from the victim. Mobile Patro 95 was dispatched to search for the teen with the help of concerned citizens.
Unfortunately, they found the victim already lifeless near the road.
The sister told police investigators that the victim had informed her about meeting her boyfriend, which was later identified as the suspect.
Police are reviewing the CCTV footage showing the victim with an unidentified man going outside a establishment. Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) arrived at the area to look for evidence and process the crime scene.
