THE DEPARTMENT of Tourism XI recorded 1,359 registered challengers, including 372 approved challenges, for the Davao Adventure Challenge 2024 campaign.
DOT XI also gathered seven participants that reached the “Ultimate Conqueror’s” equivalent to 500 points as well as 17 Top Scorers reaching 150 points as of Dec 19, 2024.
DOT XI regional director Tanya Rabat-Tan said that out of the 17 sites, 11 have been tried and enjoyed by the challengers with hopes that all of the sites will be finished by the end of the Davao Adventure Challenge.
She added that the Davao Adventure Challenge will continue next year to add more features and few new sites to make it more exciting.
“Sana mas maging open pa siya [Davao Adventure Challenge] not just sa Davao Region for the yung mga challengers but coming from other regions mag participate,” she said during the PEP Talks forum on Dec 20.
Davao Adventure Challenge 2024 is DOT XI’s marketing campaign to promote Davao Region’s diverse adventure sites of hiking trails, water thrills, diving adventures, chasing waterfalls, cave explorations, and heights and flights for thrill seekers and tourists.
On Oct. 18, 2024, 865 challengers were registered along with 300 approved challenges, six ultimate conquerors, and 12 top scorers.
The campaign was launched on May 1, 2024, and ends on Feb 28, 2025. Challengers will embark on an exhilarating journey to earn points for rewards while experiencing and discovering what Davao Region has to offer.
