THE PHILIPPINE Army Annual General Inspection (PAAGI) team, led by Inspector General MGEN Isagani O. Criste, arrived at the 10th Infantry Division headquarters on Tuesday, Aug. 4, to begin the unit’s comprehensive operational performance audit.
Following military honors, the 10ID leadership presented a comprehensive briefing outlining the Agila Division’s current operational environment, recent mission accomplishments, force structure, and priority defense initiatives.
The annual inspection serves as the Philippine Army’s primary evaluation mechanism to measure combat readiness, mission execution, leadership efficiency, and resource utilization across field units.
The division enters this year’s assessment following an “Excellent” rating of 96.96%, achieved during the CY 2025 inspection, reflecting high marks in resource management, command efficiency, and operational execution.
During a talk-to-troops session with officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staff, Criste highlighted that the inspection functions as a two-way feedback mechanism to address unit gaps and institutionalize best practices across the command.
MGEN Alvin Luzon, commander of the 10th Infantry Division, welcomed the evaluation team, emphasizing the division’s openness to institutional assessment.
“The annual general inspection is not simply about measuring compliance—it is about building a stronger and more capable organization,” Luzon said in a statement. “Every recommendation strengthens our systems, every assessment enhances our readiness, and every lesson learned brings us closer to delivering excellent service to the Filipino people.”
Military officials affirmed that the PAAGI framework aims to enforce transparency, accountability, and continuous operational development across regional commands to support national security requirements.
