THE 1001ST Infantry Brigade, under Brig. Gen. Ronnie Babac, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of candidates while filing their candidacies for the upcoming elections.
Babac spearheaded a Joint AFP-PNP Coordinating Conference at the Brigade Headquarters in Barangay Mapaang, Maco, Davao de Oro on Sept. 27.
The conference aimed to harmonize the security plans of both the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in relation to the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) for the 2025 National and Local Elections.
In attendance were the commanders of the 25th and 60th Infantry Battalions and representatives from the police provincial offices of Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte. Meanwhile, a representative from the Police Provincial Office of Agusan del Sur participated via video-teleconferencing.
During the conference, Babac underscored the importance of prioritizing the safety of the candidates, the Commission on Elections personnel handling the certificates of candidacy, and the general public.
The 1001st Brigade’s area of responsibility covers the entire province of Davao de Oro, portions of Davao del Norte, and parts of Agusan del Sur.
