THE DUAW Davao Music Festival will showcase 10 performers at Rizal Park to promote local artists and bands.
According to organizer Toffy Ledesma, the music festival will serve as a platform for emerging talents of Davao City. He also said that the Duaw Davao Music Festival won’t be the last as they plan on making it an annual event.
“There are a lot of music talents in Davao City but this is also a platform where bago sila mu adto sa national scene at least na una sila nagpeform diri sa atoa. We will be able to enjoy also our own homegrown talents po,” he said at the iSpeak Media Forum on June 20.
Ledesma added that they are expecting 800 to 1,200 participants for the music festival as well as expecting VIPs and visitors. Prior to the event they also had a security briefing with the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) for proper waste management for the music event.
“If the city would come out yung the usual nato na security measures like bawal ang caps but then we will also address to that concerns also,” he said.
Duaw Davao Music Festival is free and is the first event of Duaw Davao 2024 that will kick off on June 21 at 7 p.m.
