FIVE kilograms of suspected dried marijuana bricks and cannabis-infused vape pens were confiscated following a buy-bust operation at a residential subdivision in Barangay 19-B on Friday afternoon, Aug. 28.
Elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI, together with the National Bureau of Investigation XI, City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), and Ecoland Police Station (PS15), executed the sting around 1:15 p.m. at St. Peter Julian Eymard Village.
The target, 26-year-old alias Jhaylord, was taken into custody after allegedly selling a cling-wrapped brick of dried marijuana leaves, weighing approximately one kilogram, to an undercover PDEA agent.
A search following the arrest yielded three additional bricks and four rolled packages of dried marijuana weighing four kilograms, along with 18 disposable vape pens suspected of containing cannabis oil, one used disposable vape pen, and the marked buy-bust money.
The drug evidence was turned over to the forensic laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination.
The suspect remains under law enforcement custody and will face formal charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Meanwhile, PDEA XI and the Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit arrested alias Jul, 46, in an entrapment operation at 3:03 p.m. in Purok Talakitok, Barangay Dawis on Friday afternoon, Aug. 28.
Alias Jul allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P7,000 to a PDEA agent, who effected the arrest.
A subsequent search yielded three additional heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 25 grams.
PDEA estimated the total standard market value of the confiscated drugs at ₱170,000.
The suspect faces formal charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
