18 fugitives nabbed in Oplan: Kalinaw

Eighteen fugitives were arrested during the Davao City Police Office’s Oplan: Kalinaw in different villages in the city starting at 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Col. Alexander Tagum, city police director, said the simultaneous operations resulted in the profiling of 1,016 residents, although 31 of them could not show an ID.

The joint security operations resulted in the arrest of Roger Sarona Lingasa for violation of RA 7610; Chielo Buhisan To-Ong for violation of Section III of Municipal Ordinance (Non Appearance, Order January 31, 203) with FC 187 (2011); Juraid Laurente Hasim for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165; Angela Maria P. Bangayan for crime of qualified theft; Jay S. Escudero for violation of RA 9165; and Virgel Galido Sernada for the crime of attempted murder.

Also arrested were Jehu Katindig Nicar for violation of RA 9262; Elizaldo Racoma Magallanes Jr for the crime of adultery; Lourdes Lacida Loreño for the crime of adultery; Datu Apan Biruar for estafa thru falsification of public document; Marlene Mendoza Biruar for estafa thru falsification of public document; and Mark Jhon Saupit Salilin for robbery in an inhabited house.

Police also booked Ricky Pugasa Lucero for violation of RA 10054; Jomar Bicong Banzawan for rape; Merly Resomadero Mabano for grave threats; Kenneth Adela Dematira for the violation of City Ordinance #004-13; Marlon Flores for attempted murder; and Menecio Agon Muncay for grave coercion.

Joint Oplan: Kalinaw was implemented by the DCPO, Task Force Davao, Philippine Coast Guard, Regional Mobile Unit, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Bureau of Fire and Protection XI, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group XI, Regional Intelligence Unit, 44th Special Action Company, and City Health Office.

They conducted the operation Purok Lakandula, Barangay Agdao Proper; Monfort Village (Talisay), Barangay 19-B; Lastima, Arroyo compound, Matina Crossing; Purok 39 and 41 in Sasa; Barangay Malagamot, Bunawan District; Barangay Sasa and Barangay Acacia in Buhangin; Purok 7-C, Km. 24, Bunawan; Barangay Lizada and Dakudao in Toril; Purok 18, San Flower Street, Upper Barangay Mintal in Tugbok; Purok 10, Kabisig in Calinan; Purok Orchids in Baguio District; Purok Elian in Barangay Marilog.

The activity ended around 11 a. m.
